How to Reset a Locked iPhone Without a PC

Posted on April 6, 2022January 31, 2022 By Chris Barbosa No Comments on How to Reset a Locked iPhone Without a PC

If your iPhone has been lost or stolen, and you have no backup plan and no idea how to get into it or reset it, you don’t have to lose your data. You can do it all from the comfort of your couch.

If your iPhone has been locked, you might be wondering what to do about it. Locking your phone happens when you’re away from your phone, and it’s set up to protect your phone if you don’t enter your security code within a specified amount of time. Should you be locked out of your phone, you’ll want to try to figure out how to reset your phone without a PC. This is a guide that will help you do just that.

Here are some ways how to reset a locked iPhone Without a PC:

  • Through Find My iPhone

If you’ve ever lost track of your iPhone, you know how frustrating it is. No matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to find it. This is where Find My iPhone can come in handy. Though it sounds like a complicated device that only tech geeks would understand, Find My iPhone is a free service that lets you locate your iPhone from any computer, even if you lock it.

  • Through EaseUS MobiUnlock

Your iPhone is locked, and you don’t have a passcode to unlock it. You could call a phone number that will try to guess the passcode with questions, or you could use a hacking program to unlock the phone. However, beware of the risk: if it doesn’t work, there is a possibility that you could lose all of your data.

  • Through Recovery Mode

You’ve tried everything. Your iPhone has frozen on the lock screen, it has been corrupted with a virus, or it just doesn’t work. The only way you can even try to get your phone to work again is by going through recovery mode. This will reset your iPhone and bring it back to its factory settings, which is the only way you can attempt to get it working again. If you are not sure how to do this, you could go to a Phone Doctor who can run proper diagnostics and help you get your phone working again.

  • Through Hard/Factory Reset

Go to Settings/General/Reset, then select “Erase All Content and Settings.” When prompted, select “Erase iPhone” and follow the onscreen instructions. This will wipe the phone clean and return it to factory settings. A “hard reset” is the action of having your iPhone (or any other iOS device) reset to its default settings. The process is similar to wiping a hard drive and can be useful if you have a software glitch. A “soft reset” doesn’t reset back to the same settings. Instead, you get a new set of options, like restarting your iPhone.

You can also use a “factory reset,” which will delete all of the settings and software on your phone. However, it will not delete the content from your phone’s memory. There are all kinds of reasons why you may need to factory reset an iPhone–for example, the device may become broken, or you may want to start afresh with a clean slate. But if your iPhone has been locked by someone other than you, there are some problems you just can’t fix by reformatting the device–it’s out of your hands. Fortunately, iOS devices have a Recovery Mode, which can be accessed via a physical or iCloud button combination.

  • Through a secret code or iMyFone Umate

Have a locked iPhone on your mind? Apple doesn’t make it easy to get into your device without a PC. But there are ways to erase your iPhone remotely, without a PC. You can use a secret code to connect to your device and erase your data, or you can connect using a tool like iMyFone Umate.

Recently, there have been quite a few reports about people locked out of their iPhones because they tried to set a passcode. This is an excellent example of why you should not rely on an app on your phone to secure your data. An app can be used to lock your iPhone, but it can also be used to easily unlock it. For this tutorial, I will focus on the Lock screen since that is the location of the data that is locked.
